Ato and Her Frozen Heart is a story about a woman named Ato, who out of desparation asks for all of the pain to be taken away, but at a cost.
In Luapo, Ato was in love with a warrior. They were madly in love and they vowed to be together for ever, but sadly he had to go to war, the Lodor war. Ato waited for his return but he never did. She soon discovered he had died. Knowing this it left her in a state of madness and depression. She was in so much pain that she begged and pleaded for someone to take it away.
She traveled north, seeking Oris. Soon she was surrounded by only snow; her skin turned dark blue, her hair to as white as snow, her heart froze and stopped beating; though she still lived. She realized Oris answered her prayer, Oris had taken her heart and her ability to love.
She became immortal for a time, which was the price for her wish. She learned that for the price of no love, she would never be with the man that she loved, leaving her truly and utterly alone. After years had passed she had forgotten all about her love and all her humanly emotions had dissolved and she became an icy cold, heartless witch roaming Oris's island north of Luapo. All alone and never to love again, she was eventually laid to rest by Oris.
